The original Blank angels of Grünhainichen in the Ore mountains are popular well beyond the borders of the region. For more than 65 years, the angel series has been produced by the family owned company. Each angel consists of seventeen single parts, most of the work is done by hand. The material for the lovely figures is found right outside the door: the green forests of the Ore mountains provide large amounts of high quality wood. There is a reason why the German Ore mountains are home of countless wood-working workshops.

The pleated-skirt angels by Blank are especially popular. The lovely figures were designed already in 1948 by Georg Beyer and are released both colored and natural-colored. The inspiration for the Angels with a short, pleated skirt was the children’s book „Firlipuzzli”, where a little angel with a pleated skirt discovers the world. The series of he short skirt angels is expanded each year, just like the other angel series by Blank. One or two new angels are released each year and make collectors hearts beat faster.

Blank also offers long skirt angels with both pleated and regular skirts. Also part of the product range are flower children, who serve as a decoration for the warmer seasons. Traditional items such as candle arches, pyramids or music boxes are created by the traditional company from Grünhainichen. All products show the deep affection that the family of Blank has towards high quality wooden figures.
