The Candle arch 'Christmas market at the mine of Molch' is a masterpiece by candle arch manufacturer Klaus Kolbe.
In front of an indirect illuminated town scenery, the inhabitants enjoy the vivid life at a typical Christmas market like you can find it in any town oft he Pre mountains during Christmas time.
Countless moving elements let the eye wander and discover new elements all the time. A miner's parade of the local miners marches through the village and the people of the town are busy finding traditional Christmas presents for their loved ones. The center of the candle arch is the traditional Göbel-pyramid, including the visible transportation of the ore from the mines to the daylight.
The lower part of the candle arch shows the mine and the daily life there like it used to be: In-between glittery minerals, the ore is demounted, processed and transported. Life in the mines used to be very had, yet it has defined the regions heritage and traditions
The figures are created in lovely manner that makes them very rich in detail. Like that, the story of this little Ore mountain village is told in all its facets. A play thing with lovely music underlines the atmosphere. With this arch, Klas Kolbe has proven once again that he is a master of his craft.
