Since approx. 2009 some Erzgebirge Workshops started to craft modern vartations of the trsditional Christmas pyramids. What started out in small numbers has now become an important factor for quite a few workshops. The modern christmas pyramids try to link the traditional handcrafting methods with a modern design.
