This incense smoker figurine is made by Holzkunst Gahlenz. The history of craftsmanship from the little town of Gahlenz (50 km from Dresden) goes back to to the year 1652. The workshop Holzkunst Gahlenz was founded in the 1920s.Gahlenz is famous for their XXL incense smokers with sizes up 220 cm (over 7 feet). Only a very few workshops are able to craft such large smokermen.
